Hurricane Ian Response
Our hearts break as we witness the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Many people, moved by the compassion of Jesus, are asking how they can help. Here are three ways Church of God Ministries invites the Movement to respond right now: PRAY. GIVE. GO.
PRAY.
Here are five prompts to begin praying specifically for those affected by, and responding to, Hurricane Ian:
- Pray for communication systems to be restored and people to be rescued
- Pray for families and friends who lost loved ones
- Pray for communities that lost livelihoods and life as they know it
- Pray for first-responders and volunteer teams
- Pray for the witness of churches and volunteers as they serve
GIVE
100% of your donation goes to equipping the Church to respond to human suffering and restore broken communities to the wholeness God intends for his Kingdom.
Several Church of God congregations were directly impacted by Hurricane Ian and need financial assistance. As of September 30, we are still working to verify exactly how many and which congregations were impacted.
Your gift equips Church of God Ministries to send relief to these affected churches and empower volunteers from across the Movement to go and serve. Click below to give to Church of God Ministries Disaster Relief (Project #45.04502).
GO
We invite you to be the incarnational presence of Jesus amid the devastation.
- Church of God Ministries will be extending vouchers to empower volunteer teams to go and serve at little to no cost.
- Volunteer vouchers are available now through December 31, 2022.
