If a picture is worth a thousand words, then it might be said that seeing is worth a thousand pictures. But more than just seeing…the power of a full sensory firsthand experience, led by our Christians Broadcasting Hope team, cannot be overestimated in its ability to create lasting impressions on one’s ethos for a global understanding of ministry. That’s what our Christians Broadcasting Hope Eye on the World trips are all about.

On July 4, 1965, Christians Broadcasting Hope launched its first non-English language program, Hermandad Christiana, in Spanish. For decades produced in the United States, in 2021 the program was moved to Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic. With Juan and Miriam Santos as hosts, the program continues bringing hope via radio stations, and various internet and social media platforms. Located a short flight from the continental US, the Dominican Republic is a great introduction to traveling abroad. It’s even a better place to meet Juan and Miriam and see their ministry.

In Wittenberg, Germany, on October 31, 1517, Martin Luther, published a document he called Disputation on the Power of Indulgences, or 95 Theses.  Directly confronting teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, it marked the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.  Spanning from Italy, to Switzerland, to Germany…and lots of places in between and beyond, the Reformation continues to have a significant influence on even the most modern expressions of Christianity.  From Hus, Calvin, Luther, Zwingli, Zinzendorf, and many more…our lives, as followers of Jesus, have forever been changed by these Reformers.  Traveling with Christians Broadcasting Hope, and our on-air teachers, you will see the wonder that is Rome, Geneva, Strasbourg…and from there…the history of Protestantism across Germany.

For more than a dozen years, Christians Broadcasting Hope has led pilgrimages to the Holy Land!  These trips, led by teachers who are a part of our on-air broadcasts and our Christians Broadcasting Hope staff, bring to life the places of the Bible.  From Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, Ein Gedi, Mt. Nebo, Masada, Petra, Nazareth, and all the Biblical sites around the Sea of Galilee…you will experience the world of the Bible.  You will walk in the world of Jesus. Our trip will be led by our Christians Broadcasting Hope on-air teachers and Christians Broadcasting Hope staff and will include live recordings of some of our Christians Broadcasting Hope programs along the way.

Nestled in the western Kenyan hills is the village of Kima. Kima is the national headquarters for the Church of God in East Africa. Housed there are the national church offices, the church’s cathedral, the Bunyore Girls School, Kima International School of Theology (KIST), and of course our Christians Broadcasting Hope recording studio. Our time in Kenya, led by our Christians Broadcasting Hope staff,  will include several days in Kima, engaging in the school, CBH studio, surrounding congregations, and experiencing, firsthand, the rich culture of rural Kenya. Our time in Kenya will also include two days in Nairobi and two nights on safari at Masai Mara Game Reserve.
