Church of God
Higher Education
A Rich History
In 1917, the first institution of higher education was established in the Church of God: Anderson Bible Training School. That year, sixty-five students enrolled to be trained for vocational ministry. Over the decades that followed, more schools were established, and existing colleges saw dramatic increases in enrollment and funding, while undergoing changes in name and location.

A Rich Future
Today, the four universities (and one seminary) of the Church of God movement are spread across the United States, coast to coast and in between, wielding extensive reach of influence and impact across the globe. Producing a sense of holy pride in what our Lord has accomplished among us, in the arena of higher education, Church of God universities—Endorsed Agencies in the Church of God movement—now offer competitive educational options among the top-tier of schools in North America.
