In a never-before-seen collaboration, Christian Women Connection, the National Association Women, and Church of God Ministries are coming together to produce and host a major convention of the Movement this October 13–16. Scheduled to take place at the expansive DoubleTree by Hilton in Orlando, Florida, the event is already garnering attention from across the United States and Canada, not to mention places far beyond. Framed by the theme ,“Dare to Dream & Believe God,” inspired by 1 Samuel 1:10, the joint Church of God Women’s Convention will feature not only the stellar lineup of speakers the Women’s Convention has become known for, but also a special track of sessions serving as the final of three 2022 Regional Conferences. Less than a month out from this historic first coming to pass in Florida, the three ministries are finalizing details and forecasting showers of blessing.

Highly sought-after speakers, session hosts, and worship leaders comprise the lineup of anointed ministers set to grace the stage during the Church of God Women’s Convention. Pastors and lay leaders (and their families!) can’t wait to hear from the Lord through Lori Salierno-Maldonado, Cynthia James, Cynthia Thomas, Roxie Rawls De-Santiago, and Kimberly Majeski. But those who participate in the Regional Conference track have even more to look forward to, including—but not limited to—Carla Sunberg, Horace Sheppard, Jim Lyon, as well as panel discussion, featuring Abbie Craig, Richard Smith, Kyle Hayes, and Jason Varner. Pre-conference electives offered by Church of God Ministries include a CARE luncheon, chaplains conference, “Flourishing in Ministry,” and “A Stuck Church in a Changing World.”

Though the convention is known as a women’s event, men are more than welcome—in fact, encouraged—to attend, too. And, with registration, attendees have access to the entire event—Regional Conference sessions and the larger convention activities. It’s no wonder the ministers at the helm of the three ministry organizations are so excited about all that will surely unfold!

“Like minds, like hearts, like Jesus!” Saundra McNeese, president of the National Association Women, exclaims. “This is what I am looking forward to the most. I pray we’ll be inspired and energized to love each other, celebrate our differences, and embrace our oneness. May the same Holy Spirit that has been in the planning continue to flow in the meeting. May our gathering touch the life of sinners we meet in Florida and help to win them over to Christ!”

Kimberly Majeski, executive director of Christian Women Connection, sees the unity evident in the gathering as a win for the kingdom. She also sees it as fittingly appropriate during a year of significance in the history of Church of God women’s ministry. She remarks, “As we at CWC celebrate our 90th year of ministry, we have been praying, planning, and believing the dream of God for the historic gathering in Orlando this fall. When the world around us is plagued with division and strife, it seems right to come together with our sisters from the National Association and the wider Church of God family to join hands, sing praise, to celebrate what God has seen us through and dream new dreams for our future.”

Kimberly continues, “Our joint committee has strategically designed an experience filled with incredible speakers, engaging breakout topics and gorgeous fashion vendors all just steps from Universal Studios. What could be better than gathering with the family of God in sunny Florida for a few worship-filled days as we emerge this side of a pandemic? We hope everyone will join us for what is sure to be the event of our times.”

Jim Lyon, general director of Church of God Ministries, shares such sentiment. “There are moments engineered by heaven itself, moments we might not have imagined alone but which now are being brought to life together. Circumstances (like a pandemic) that frustrated original plans are now being harnessed by the Spirit to birth something new, dynamic, and fresh. The General Assembly of the Church of God in the United States and Canada is thrilled to be able to merge its third 2022 Regional Conference into the weave of the Christian Women Connection and National Association Women of the Church of God programs for their conventions delayed from last year. October’s Orlando meeting of the Church of God brings together all three ministry umbrellas in a beautiful and powerful way. It’s both an opportunity for terrific teaching and fellowship, and a threshold for new days of standing together, for Jesus’ sake. Totally awesome. Life-giving. Filled with promise.”
