In Global Strategy

It will be a warm morning in Orlando, even at 7:30. Participants dressed in matching T-shirts will tighten their laces, stretch their muscles awake, and start their convention with an opportunity to give back. Will you join them?

On Thursday, June 27, Global Strategy will be hosting the Pink Door 5K, a fun run to raise awareness and financial support for the work of Pink Door. We encourage individual runners of all skill levels, as well as families, to participate. The course traces the first nine holes of the Hawk’s Landing Golf Club, located on the grounds of the World Center Marriott where the convention is being held. There will be no formal timing, but if you are the competitive type, you are welcome to recruit others and time yourselves!

Proceeds from this event will support the ongoing work of Pink Door in Berlin, Germany. Pink Door is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization that provides a recovery and integration program for women transitioning out of prostitution, sexual enslavement, or sexual exploitation. Pink Door partners with a network of organizations stretching across Europe and around the globe, which provide women the help they need to successfully make this challenging transition into a new, free, independent life. For more information on Pink Door and their work, visit www.chogglobal.org/pinkdoor.

Registration for the Pink Door 5K is $20, and 100 percent of the fee will go to support the work of Pink Door. Included in your registration, you will receive a T-shirt and a medal. You can sign up for the “fun run” with your convention registration, or on this online registration form. For those who want to make even more of an impact, we encourage participants to raise additional funds to donate toward the work of Pink Door.

You don’t have a be a runner to make a difference. Sign up and join the work of Pink Door! We hope to see you there!
