Prevention and Intervention
A key piece to abolishing human trafficking is prevention. Here are some suggested resources related to prevention efforts:
Intervention is typically what most of us gravitate towards as far as our initial response to human trafficking. Intervention is a necessary measure, but it is one that should be taken with caution and careful consideration. Praying, pursuing education about human trafficking, and connecting with current community and regional leaders involved in anti-human trafficking efforts are good places to start. Here are some specific intervention approaches to consider:
- Become aware of key signs that someone is being trafficked
- In the event you do suspect someone is being trafficked, please contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 888-373-7888.
