Spread the Word International Internships
Each summer Spread the Word provides an opportunity for high school and college students to get their hands dirty and experience the mission field like never before. The Spread the Word International Internship program has sent students all over the world to countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Ecuador, and Paraguay. This summer, our Spread the Word interns will be serving in Honduras and Taiwan. Students will be serving alongside full-time missionaries while working in clinics, youth camps, orphanages, and schools. They will be working on community development projects while learning from the local leaders within the communities they are serving in.
Our students began their journey at the H.E.A.R.T. (Hunger Education and Resources Training) Institute at Warner University, learning about cross-cultural communication, agriculture, appropriate technology, and much more. The skills H.E.A.R.T. taught our STW interns will only further prepare them for their time on the field and begin to create true world-changers. We are very excited to see the impact these students will make, but above all we can’t wait to see what the Lord will do through them. These students are committed to sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus, and we believe the Lord will do some amazing things because of that. “I learned that no matter where you are in the world, we are God’s ambassadors, and that as ambassadors for God, our ultimate goal is sharing God’s love to ALL people,” says Heather Grogg, an STW intern about her experience in Ecuador.
