In Life-Givers

Join one of the many churches who are receiving life through our online LifeGivers courses. Each course is led by someone who has “been there and done that.” Rev. Nate Hultz, a pastor in Ohio, is just one of the many excellent facilitators in the LifeGivers initiative. He leads the Church Turnaround course, and is currently the leader of a church that has done just that.

Nate took the helm of his current church on Memorial Day weekend of 2018. When he arrived as pastor, the average attendance was 45–55. The median congregational age was 60. There were few children attending. Their church relaunched in September 2018 with 215 people at their kickoff! Their current weekly attendance is 180 and climbing, with the average age now being 35 and 40 children attending each week.

logoThrough LifeGivers, Nate coaches those who want to give life to their churches by leading them to assess their church’s current situation and by helping them implement the practices needed to change the trajectory of their church. He emphasizes the need to return to an early-church model for ministry.

Pastor Nate shared the top three things a pastor needs to know in order to lead in a turnaround situation:

1. Recognize the characteristics of your church that are leading to decline.
2. Possess a willing heart to move from an inward- to an outward-focused model.
3. Demonstrate a consistent lifestyle of prayer and fasting.
