New Book by Jim Lyon Challenges Believers to ‘Jesus B.’

 In All Church of God

A new book by Jim Lyon, general director of Church of God Ministries, challenges Christians to act with the boldness of Jesus Christ in today’s world. Jesus B. takes the reader through the gospel of Matthew, where Jesus tells his disciples, “I will send you out to fish for people” (Matt 4:19) and challenges us to be “as shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves” (Matt 10:16 NIV) to accomplish his will in the days to come.

Jesus B. explores the risks and rewards of being Jesus’ followers in today’s world. It describes how Christians who live like Jesus dramatically change their communities, and it challenges us to allow the Spirit of Christ to do the same through us.

The book will be introduced at Church of God Convention 2015 in Oklahoma City, June 22–25, because it advances the convention theme, “Be Bold. Reclaim.” Copies will be sold at the convention site, and Church of God Ministries will give complimentary copies of the book to General Assembly participants at the convention.
