God is raising up an amazing generation of global Christians! Millennials who catch a passion for God’s heart for the world are finding their place in serving the global community. During NAC 2012, Global Missions will be hosting “One World, One Mission: Missions for a New Generation” on Saturday, June 23, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, in the Newberry Room at Park Place Church of God.

Come to learn who millennials are, how to minister to them, and how to involve them in missions. Aly Hawkins, a collaborator in the book You Lost Me, by David Kinnaman, will help us develop a general understanding of millennials and will offer a brief overview of the book to help us better understand how the church can not only avoid losing them but also engage them in ministry and missions.

Katherine Schnaufer and Andrew Gale will speak from personal experience as millennials and help us look at how the church views this generation and how millennials view the church. They will offer insights on how we can best involve these young emerging leaders in global ministry.

Michelle Parker will speak about the ministry of Kid’s Place at the North American Convention and how it has made a global impact on the younger generation. Some of our new young missionaries have been actively involved in Kid’s Place. The seeds for global service were planted in their hearts as participants of this excellent ministry to children.

Carrie Critser has been serving in Central Asia in a ministry to developmentally challenged adults and children through art therapy. Randee Doe has been involved in a ministry to those caught in the web of human trafficking. Gina Shaner has had a variety of mission experiences. Ryan and Rebecca Hodges have served as interns at KIST in Kenya. All of these young leaders have a passion for global ministry and will share their hearts during this conference.

Dr. Andy Stephenson has provided visionary leadership to Church of God youth through the International Youth Convention, challenging youth to respond to God’s call to ministry and service. He and his team have challenged the youth to use their resources; as a result, more than a half million dollars has been given to global evangelism projects through Spread the Word. For the last three years, Dr. Stephenson has mentored leaders who have developed the international Spread the Word internships for high school and college students, who thus far have participated in mission internships in Latin America and Africa.

This is a conference in which lead pastors, youth pastors, mission pastors, and missions teams, as well as anyone passionate about missions, will want to participate. A $25 registration fee covers your copy of the book You Lost Me, all other conference materials, lunch, and the opportunity to hear from a wide array of young emerging leaders.
