Marty Grubbs Releases New Book through Warner Press

 In All Church of God

“Jesus did not come to the earth to give me a comfortable, Americanized version of Christianity. He came to change us.” A new book published by Warner Press, the publishing house of the Church of God, explains what it truly means to be restored, and how to get there. Restored: Getting Back to Who You Were Meant to Be,” by Marty Grubbs, is already receiving widespread interest and acclaim. So, what does it really mean to be restored?

In the new, easy-to-digest manuscript, Marty Grubbs explains how Jesus can change attitudes, focus, priorities, and commitments. He discusses ways to adjust the way we view and use our time and resources, as well as how to handle and engage in relationships. Marty’s goal with this new book is to bring personal life issues to the surface, shine God’s light on them, and then let the Holy Spirit do his work.

Well-known pastor and author Craig Groeschel is among those who have recommended Marty’s new book, as is Mary Fallin, the governor of Oklahoma. Of Restored, Jim Lyon said, “His transparency, honest and daring, will help you see yourself and Jesus, too. Dive in and see what God can do. Find life. Be restored.”

Marty Grubbs is the lead pastor of Crossings Community Church, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Driven by the foundational and ever-relevant elements of the church in Acts 2, Marty inspires his congregation to live out their mission statement: to be a Christ-centered church committed to live by faith, to be a voice of hope, and to be known by love.

Crossings will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2019. Originally known as Westridge Hills Church of God, the congregation has grown from an average attendance of 143 to over 7,000 today. Marty has been with the congregation for 36 years, serving as lead pastor the past 31 years.
