Global Max Theater at the Expo

In All Church of God, Global Gathering, Global Strategy

By Bob Edwards

Global Missions staff, missionaries, and friends of Global Missions continue to work on the creation of what is being called the Expo. I have talked for a number of weeks about this in my weekly e-mail to the missionaries, and I will more than likely continue as the days get closer to the opening of the Global Gathering. The Expo will be in the O. C. Lewis Gymnasium, which is located in the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the Anderson University campus here in Anderson, Indiana. At the far eastern end of the Expo, we will be having two significant, curtained-off spaces: one for a prayer garden and a second that we are calling the Global Max Theater (G-Max). The G-Max Theater will screen videos and PowerPoint slideshows of Global Missions’ ministries around the globe. This presentation will be on a continuous loop, which will allow viewers to enter the space, sit in a comfortable seat, and enjoy a trip around the world at any time. Because the presentations will be on a continuous loop, there will not be a set time to enter and leave. People will be encouraged to come and go as they will while the Expo is open. We want to thank Logan Ritchhart (CBH specialist) for his expertise in preparing this visual production for us.

We envision persons walking around the Expo, experiencing the six regional presentations, and then moving periodically into this G-Max Theater, resting for a bit and taking in visual and audio information on the breadth and depth of ministries that are happening in the Church of God globally. It’s going to be good.
