 In Church of God Ministries

Church of God Ministries is pleased to announce that Connie Fisher has joined the staff as chief financial officer. Connie was born in Turpin, Oklahoma, and was raised in the Church of God. She is the daughter of Ivan and Lucretia (Cash) Epp. Her mother Lucretia is a graduate of Gulf Coast Bible College. Growing up, her family belonged to South Church of God in Liberal, Kansas, then under the leadership of Rev. Roger C. Williams. Attending Church of God youth rallies and conventions was an important part of her upbringing—a way to connect with other Christian young people from around the area.

Connie has a strong Christian foundation and is active in her congregation, Crosspoint Church of God in Fishers, Indiana, as a worship musician and nursery worker. She and her husband Steve are the proud parents of one-year-old Lilly.

Connie holds both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Anderson University. She has taught accounting to traditional and nontraditional students at Anderson University and has extensive experience in corporate finance, management of accounting systems, and work with charitable gifts annuities and trusts. Most recently, she served as director of finance and building operations for the Wesleyan Church Corporation.

In addition to her education and training, Connie has over ten years of experience in the world of nonprofit and ministry finance. She has demonstrated her commitment to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of church organizations through stewardship, management of finances, and resource development. She is a gifted professional and brings a wealth of financial knowledge, integrity, and leadership to her new role with Church of God Ministries.

In her words, she is excited to be here at Church of God Ministries and is anxious to work closely with the staff. “My hope is that I can see where God is working and join him.”
