Advocating for Pastor Well-Being

The health and well-being of congregations is directly connected to the health and well-being of pastors.

43%
43% of Pastors Report Financial Strain

In the United States, the most common deterrent to pastor well-being is financial stress. In a recent poll of Church of God pastors, 43% reported that financial strain caused uncertainty regarding their ministry effectiveness, and whether or not they would be able to continue in pastoral ministry. That’s stress.

The efforts of CARE focus on young-in-ministry pastors. CARE identifies these pastors as:

By offering FREE financial guidance and planning to both pastors and church boards, and

By providing financial assistance to pastors, as
outlinedin the Program parameters, for
a) retirement accounts and
b) educational debt.
