“Silent night, holy night — all is calm, all is bright.”

Jesus entered the world and broke the silence.  With newborn cries, coos, and discovery. With peace, hope, and light. Generations of waiting for a God to make himself known again, to move, to speak, had come to an end. But it wasn’t what everyone expected. And Mary and Joseph, though visited by the angel, pondered it all in their hearts.

Mary and Joseph don’t stand alone in history. Today, there are countless others wondering how they will protect their children while, at the same time, releasing them to fully be who God created them to be. Parents and caregivers too often suffer silently in their own never-ending night, unable to prevent tragedy. This Christmas, will you join us in breaking the silence?
